| In hospital and program support services, including respite
support are provided 24 hours/day for children and adults requiring
direct one-to-one care for behavioural and executive functioning
assistance.
All hospital and program services are implemented with the direction
of the permanent staffing professionals and primarily focus
on providing behavioural support to client's who exhibit safety,
judgment and cognitive impairments within a program setting.
Within these structured settings, clients receive treatment specific support.
Assessments of future support needs may also occur during this time and at the discretion of medical professionals.
Cost Benefits
Services are provided on an hourly rate and the following financial issues are of benefit to hospital and community programs:
- Last minute service requests are billed at regular rates, rather than emergency rates
- Within hospitals and residential facilities, last minute cancellations are fully honoured without charging a cancellation fee
- In some unique cases of providing minimal-moderate behavioural support, two-on-one services to clients can be provided at no extra cost to the funding source
